What is the meaning of Tae Kwon Do ?
Tae Kwon Do is a martial art that originated in Korea.
Taekwondo is over 2,000 years old.
The word “Taekwondo” means “The art of kicking and punching”.
“Tae” means “Kicking”,
“Kwon” means “Punching”,
“Do” means “Discipline or way of life”
We commit ourselves to mental and physical discipline,
to be friends with one another and to develop strength within our group.
We shall never fight to achieve selfish goals.
To develop wisdom and character are our ultimate commitments.
